Hello and Welcome to Mountain River Taxidermy Studio. We do our best to give our clients a mount they can be proud of and cherish forever. We are located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania which is in the heart of prime hunting and fishing opportunities. We mount any species of fish or game head. We believe that every specimen is beautiful and we display them as they would be found in nature. As always, all fish forms start out in our shop as a block of foam. We take the extra time to custom carve a fish body to match the exact measurements off of your fish. This also allows us to recreate the correct underlying muscle detail of your fish. We DO NOT purchase our fish forms already made. Pre fabricated forms are measured from other fish and very often will not readily fit your fish skin without alterations taking place. We also mold and cast our own fish heads and fins from your fish. This again assures proper fit and zero shrinkage later on down the road. Mountain River Taxidermy Studio can construct habitat bases for any specimen. This can really add a nice touch and enhance the mount. Why not have a mount constructed exactly how the specimen looked before you harvested it?
Because we limit ourselves to fish and game heads, Mountain River Taxidermy studio tends to have a quicker turn around time then most other taxidermy shops. We do not overload ourselves with work, so you get your trophy back with more attention to detail given! It’s both exciting and rewarding to see a completed mount and we want you to experience that excitement as soon as possible!
We treat every specimen as if it were our own, and mount it just as if we were entering it into a competition. You will be receiving competition quality work! We do not take short cuts in methods, or in supplies to save us money. Our clients are special to us, and we use the best supplies available to assure you a great mount that will last forever! Mountain River Taxidermy Studio will give you a mount you will be proud to show your friends and family. Unfortunately hunting and fishing trips don‘t last forever, so let us,
"Preserve The Memory Of The Moment."
